My first passion has always been small business and entrepreneurship. In my first business as a co-owner and operator I learned the challenges of rapidly scaling a business and developing a trained workforce that I could build around. After selling that business, I spent 9 years climbing the corporate ladder of a fortune 50 company. The lessons I learned about structure, talent planning and development, and change management are invaluable. My teams grew top and bottom line sales, piloted programs, and helped produce roll out guides that were adopted chain wide. I maintained a high level of engagement, and saw promotions within my teams from intentional talent development. I believe in having clearly defined and measurable plans for growth, but I also know that protecting your company’s core values and developing your teams to grow your business is essential to continuing to succeed.
